Sci-Fi, USA. Lenny Nero makes his living by selling "squids". A Squid is a headpiece that can record people's thoughts and feelings. When a squid clip emerges that shows a hip-hop musician being killed by L.A. police officers Lenny finds his life in danger. Director: Kathryn Bigelow (145). Thriller, AUS. John is an insurance investigator who's drifting towards the wrong side of the law. Together with at novice con man and a female lawyer he hatches a scheme to rob his firm. But since the three don't trust each other they eventually start to fall apart. Director: Alan White (93). With Bryan Brown, Tom Long, Claudia Karvan.

Action, USA. Made in 1981, this film makes 1997 a futuristic setting where Manhattan is a heavily guarded prison. When Air Force One crash-lands in Manhattan and the President is taken hostage, the strong-armed mercenary Snake Plissken is sent there to rescue him. Director: John Carpenter (99). Horror, SK. A married couple unable to have children of their own adopts a boy named Jin-Sung. It turns out that the boy has mystical powers and can bring dead things back to life. Mystery, USA. Alien invaders descend upon a peaceful desert community and take over the minds and bodies of the residents. Director: Roger Duchowny (89). With Brian Kerwin, Elizabeth Pena, Lauren Tewes.

Horror, USA. Stanley Caldwell, the screenwriter who killed people for inspiration, is thought to be dead. However, when his final script is being filmed a man who claims to have known the late Caldwell is hired as an assistant director. Director: Po-Chih Leong (89). Thriller, USA. Bill Capa is a psychiatrist who goes to Los Angeles to take over his murdered colleague's therapy group. Trying to uncover the truth about his friend's death he finds himself drawn into a mystery of double-identities, death threats and love scenes. Director: Richard Rush (121). Horror, USA. In a Texas rest home we find Elvis who, as it turns out, didn't die but was replaced with a body double. Elvis teams up with another rest home resident who believes that he is John F. Horror, UK. Jane is a student who volunteers to help a professor with his animal studies. The professor keeps trained monkeys in his house and one of them, Link, turns out to have aggressive tendencies. Through a series of unpleasant events Jane is suddenly under the rule of Link. Drama, USA. Nicole is an upper-middle-class high school girl who falls in love with a boy from the wrong side of the tracks. When she doubts the relationship he gets violent and starts to stalk and terrorize her. Director: James Foley (97). With Mark Wahlberg, Reese Witherspoon, William L. Petersen.
