Lloyd Hopkins is a cynical LA cop investigating a murder that appears to be the work of a serial killer. His investigations leads him to a female poet who has been receiving gifts from an unknown admirer. It soon becomes clear that the dates she received the gifts corresponds with the dates of the murders.
