Evil forces are planning on recapturing an earth-like planet that has been liberated by rebels. The son of one of the rebel leaders searches the galaxy for help, finds the 1950's TV series hero Captain Zoom and brings him to the planet as its saviour. When Zoom tries to explain that he's only an actor named Ty Farrel, and not a real hero he's highly misconstrued by the natives.
