This film depicts the story of the Borgias family who are known to be "history's first criminal family". Towards the end of 15th century the Borgias are one of Europe's wealthiest families and when Rodrigo Borgia is elected as pope. Taking the name Alexander VI, his three sons find themselves raised to positions of power through their father's arrangements.
