A jaded tabloid reporter and his novice partner are sent to Transylvania to investigate a rumoured new Frankenstein. At first, all they find is a town full of merchandising and eccentrics. But soon their investigations lead them to suspect that the schizophrenic proprietor of the town's sanatorium is concealing a host of mythic Transylvanian monsters straight out of the movies.
