Sinophony II / Clarence Barlow

"Sinophony II [was realised] during the Christmas break of 1972, finishing (on December 31st) eight mono channels there that were mounted onto 8-channel tape soon after at the Music University Cologne, Germany. […] It was Knut Wiggen who agreed that I use the digital console with the 24 sine generators, which I did, but more important was the role of the PDP-4 (?) computer and the magnetic tape storage devices. It was nice to see the console lights flashing during the computer sound generation, though. During that period, I was completely alone at EMS. I had programmed the piece in Fortran at Cologne University's Computer Centre during most of 1972 and took the program on punched paper tape to Stockholm." - Clarence Barlow in an e-mail to Pär Johansson, December 3, 2012
