It's an age-old problem that gets worse with each new archaeological find. Enter modern technology and IBM. Together with the Centre for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage, and the Supreme Council of Antiquity in Egypt, IBM helped create "Eternal Egypt". Like a pyramid, okay triangle. which is sort of like a pyramid, the project has three sides. First, a museum "within the walls" - if you visit the museum in Cairo, a digital guide gives you all sorts of extra info. Second, a museum "outside the walls" - if you're standing by a pyramid or some other historic building, you can get info fed to you through a PDA or cell phone. Third, a "virtual museum" - on the web and crammed with anything and everything about this rich culture. An international creative effort was aided by the folks at IBM's Design Centre in Toronto. In lieu of a digital guide, let MediaTV light the way.
